No subscription needed. Purchase credits any time — they never expire.
Top up your account with any amount (minimum $10). Credits sit in your balance and are drawn down as you use the API. They carry over forever — no weekly reset, no pressure to use them.
No subscription? No problem. Purchase credits and start routing immediately. Token rate limits only apply to subscription plans — pay-as-you-go users are balance-gated only.
Top up creditsEvery subscription plan includes a weekly credit allowance — $5 on Spark up to $50 on Apex. This allowance renews on your billing anniversary each week. Unused allowance does not carry over.
When your allowance is exhausted, overflow spend automatically draws from your purchased credit balance. You'll never be cut off mid-session as long as your balance covers the cost.
View plans aboveRequests automatically overflow to your purchased credit balance. As long as your balance is positive, everything keeps working. If both are empty, you'll get a 402 response with a link to top up.
No. Purchased credits never expire. They sit in your account until you use them. Only the subscription allowance is use-it-or-lose-it (it resets every 7 days on your billing anniversary).
Token limits (input + output combined) prevent burst abuse on subscription plans. The 5-hour limit uses a rolling window — older tokens age out continuously. The weekly limit resets with your billing week. Pay-as-you-go users have no token limits, just balance gating.
Your subscription allowance (and purchased credits) cover the underlying model cost at cost — no markup. The subscription itself is the service fee. ClawRouter routes to the cheapest model that handles your request, so you typically spend far less than going direct to a premium model for every call.
Yes — this is the recommended approach. Subscribe for a weekly baseline and top up for burst usage or longer projects. Deduction always draws from the subscription allowance first (since it expires), then your purchased balance.
Yes. Cancel any time from your billing dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing week — you keep the allowance you've already paid for. Purchased credits remain unaffected.
All subscription and pay-as-you-go tiers have access to all routing tiers: fast (Claude Haiku, Gemini Flash), standard (Claude Sonnet), reasoning (Claude Opus), and auto (intelligent routing). The auto mode picks the most cost-effective model for each request, helping your allowance go further. You can also choose Cost Optimized or Quality First routing modes from your dashboard settings.
